Georgia has been awarded $255,200 a 2008 Aquaculture Grant Program and another award for an arts grant. The 2008 Aquaculture Grant Program (2008 AGP) provides assistance to eligible aquaculture producers that suffered financial losses associated with high feed input costs during the 2008 calendar year. An arts grant will be administered by the Georgia Council for the Arts to cultivate healthy, vibrant communities that are rich in civic participation, cultural development and economic prosperity.

2008 Aquaculture Grant -The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 authorized the 2008 Aquaculture Grant Program to be administered through the Commodity Credit Corporation of the US Farm Service Agency. Community Facilities Grant - The objective of the Community Facilities (CF) direct loan and grant program is to provide loan and/or grant funds to rural communities to construct, enlarge, expand, or otherwise improve community facilities providing essential services to rural residents.

Georgia Council for the Arts

Arts Grants - The majority of the funds will be directed to the Grassroots Arts Program (GAP), the agency’s newly re-structure program for distribution of arts grants.
